Simple Presentation
This is a solution we generally don't recommend, simple because it doesn't take advantage of the potential a website has to offer. However, we make this kind of solution available as a bare minimum for small businesses, often in the initial phase, because they might not the budget for more. This way, even those businesses can have a website that later on can be developed through one of our other solutions. With a simple presentation, the client gets access to a simple design and 1 - one - page to present itself on, but no means of updating the page without going through us.
Simple Website
Here we have a simple website with advanced solutions. The client can update the website from wherever in the world, as long as there is access to the Internet via a web browser like Opera, Internet Explorer, Firefox and a couple of others. A website like this may have news, business information, articles, contact forms, frequently asked questions, and of course, full administrative rights for these elements. There are a few limitations of this kind of project; for instance, the navigation and number of pages will be locked to what was agreed in the contract. This, however, makes it easier to maintain and learn to use.
Advanced Website
The difference from a simple website is that the client can add and remove web pages, change the navigational structure and do other administrative tasks. This makes for a much greater flexibility, but also demands that the client spends more time on the website. This kind of website is too advanced for most businesses in our market segment, but it is ideal for those wishing for something very dynamic with full control themselves.
Intranets and specialized applications
For intranets and specialized applications it is impossible to give general prices. It all depends on what kind of system we are talking about, how advanced functionalities are required and so on. The example given is for a specific case where we have a very basic system for registration of participants for a simple course or conference. It is assumed that the project is developed as an add-on to a simple or advanced website already delivered by us. Of course, such an application can be re-used by the client infinitely many times without no extra cost.
In common for all solutions
There are a couple of optional services that we mostly recommend. Maybe especially because they are cheaper than the alternatives. All optional services require a contract for at least a year, and are paid in advanced - possibly partitioned over time.
A Domain Name is something we recommend to everyone, unless you already have one. If you do, we can use that if your registrant allows it.
Web Hosting is optional, but the alternative is that you have a compatible server. We made a recipe on how to make a server compatible here, but normally it is cheaper and easier for you to host your website with us. Without web hosting or a compatible server, none of our solutions will work.
Maintenance Packages are something we recommend to most clients. At least the first year. Such packages give you an extra assurance that your website is kept in prime shape and include help if you need it. You can, of course, buy the services included in a maintenance package whenever you need them on an individual basis, but then you pay per hour which pretty fast ends up being more expensive than a pre-paid package solution.
