The company

Mikalsen ITS was founded in 2009 by Remi Mikalsen. ITS stands for Information Technology Services, but our official name is Mikalsen ITS.

The business was started based upon a strong commitment towards the use of web based technology and a wish to use this commitment to create something new. The main focus is to serve small and medium businesses that seek to extend their potential client base from the purely local and regional to something more.

In order to deliver solid products to our customers, we cooperate with international players, local forces and others when the need arises. When we commit to a project, the client can make sure we commit and deliver 110%!

For the time being, only the founder works with the business on a daily basis, in addition to a full time job as head engineer in the central IT department at a Norwegian public university. This leads to most follow-up of clients being done outside working hours and in weekends. However, this can be a huge advantage for most decision takers in small and medium businesses, because they often simply don't have time during normal working hours. If an emergency situation should arise, there will of course be possible to get in touch during normal working hours too.

Remi has more than 10 years experience with developing websites, intranets and other applications for use in businesses in Norway and Portugal. The academic background is assured with a Master degree in Administration and Informatics with top marks. He also speaks three languages fluently, and understands and can be understood in even more languages.
